1)clean floors, tables, dishes, and utensils 2)if the food is supposed to be hot, it better be hot 3)see how the servers and preparers handle themselves (are they being sanitary?)
Honestly, I'd just trust their judgment. But if I needed too, I'd check my table and surrounding area for bugs and then taste the food for any odd tastes. If all is well, I would dig in..
I check the silverware and the bathrooms. if the silverware is dirty then the dishes are probably dirty also but you cant see it cause the food is on top of it. and the bathrooms, if the bathrooms are dirty, then their kitchen might be dirty too. Also look for bugs.. bugs are gross. if you can smell the bathroom from where your sitting you should probably go somewhere else.
Make sure that the floor is clean and all over the restaurant is clean. Check that there are no bugs in the place also. No servers touch their face or hair.
make sure the everything looks clean in the restraint and make sure nothing is laying out so you don't get a foodborne illness and make sure your food is cooked all the way and if it is not send it back and you should look at the rating
I would eat the food, but then again at the same time would check for bugs. If an when I ate the food an got sick I would call the manager and tell them what I ate and when I was there. I would also make sure there grade rating is a A, but I would also make sure that there bathrooms are clean if not then I would probably leave.
If the food is in the right temperature zones. And how clean the restaurant is with everything, the floor, the smell, the way the food is stored, dishes, and the restroom.
I'd first check the bathrooms and see if they have kept it cleaned throughout the day. Then check for simple things like trash on the floor or trash left around the table. Look for bugs or any spills. I'd check the food make sure it looks/tastes good.
Make sure there are no vermin or bugs. If there is alert someone. Also if the food tastes strange or makes you sick call the manager
