Culinary 1

Given the wide variety of options when it comes to potatoes, grains, legumes, and pasta, restaurants have many options to please their customers.  Select one specific potato, grain, legume, or pasta and describe a creative dish or way to serve that item.

  2. a very common but great dish is Lasagna. A lot of restaurants offer different types of lasagna. Some are vegetarian some aren't. they all have different cheeses and fillings.

  5. Shrimp Fra Diavolo which is a spicy pasta dish with shrimp. Tends to be very hot, but that can be altered by changing the amount of red pepper.

  6. Pepperoni Pizza Spaghetti Casserole. Baked Spaghetti topped with cheese and pepperoni.

  7. Potatoes you could have twice baked potatoes. Grains you could have curried brown rice. with legumes you could have some southwestern tailgate chili, and with pasta pizzaz

  8. Mung beans are served in many parts of China. Most often, they are boiled until soft and then mashed into a paste, but an interesting way to serve them is to make them into ice cream or ice pops. I like the way sweetened beans are used in Asia.

  9. A hazelnut is a legume. You can use this in desserts. You can mix it with chocolate to make a chocolate hazelnut spread.

  11. Mac and Cheese grilled cheese. This combination is very delicious comfort food mixed with child play.

  12. Creamy, Light Macaroni and Cheese is a very tasty pasta. Its made with chicken, yogurt and cheeses and more to give it a different taste than just macaroni and cheese.
