It is often said that leaders are born that way.  Do you agree with that thought?  Explain your opinion about how leaders are made and what makes an effective leader.

  1. I think its just a natural skill to be a leader. I guess some can be born a leader but it could just take some experiences and challenges in someone's life to tell them they need to set an example and lead others. To be an effective leader, one has to be determined, level headed and charismatic.

  2. I don't think leaders are not born that way. I think its about the environment they are raised in. If they are being raised up in an environment where the leadership role is highly thought of then it is more likely they are going to have a great leadership quality. But it is all down to themselves wanting to be a leader. You can also learn to be a leader or how to be a better leader as well.

  3. I don't think that people are born leaders. I think it's the people around them and the example that they set that mold them into leaders. I think that it is the environment that they are raised in and the environment that they are around that help them to be a leader. What makes an effective leader is one who strives for excellence and who thinks about others before they think about their self.

  7. I suppose that some leadership skills could be genetic, but I believe that a person's upbringing plays more of a role in one's character.

  8. I truthfully think it can be both natural and learned. with some groups or people you can be the leader but some you want to be a follower. I lead and protect my sister and friends. but one of my "friends" think they can tell me what to do and wear. But I end up overpowering her. A leader needs to be trustworthy, kind, sympathetic, and has to have empathy

  9. no I think that the way people are raised depends on them being a leader or not, because their parents have to teach them the skills to be a leader.

  10. I don't think people are born that way. I think its the environment that they grow up in. If the kids were raised up in a good environment where they have highly respected leaders then they are more likely to follow in the same foot steps as the people who are leading. Which if they follow them, then they would likely learn the role of success and being a leader.

  11. I believe that some are born leaders and some grow to be a leader by what they go through in life and the changes they go through help them to become a leader maybe their childhood or just their experience through things.

  12. I believe that some people are born with confidence in there self and others. And Others learn to be a leader at a slow pace. A leader who knows what to do in certain situations. And has an answer to everything and knows how to communicate with others, they are more helpful in situations such as a crisis.

  13. Honestly, leaders aren't born, they are raised. Someone has to be raised into the mindset of a leader or they will always be sheep, aimlessly following a person they deem their shepherd. On the other hand, someone can be a "natural leader" in which they have all the characteristics of a leader, but they were not born that way.

  14. I don't think people are born that way because it depends on the way you grow up and what goes on around you. As people get older they have to work for things in order to achieve things that you want in life. Their parents have to teach them to be a leader as they grow up.

  15. I don't think larders were born to be leaders. I think most of the time something happens in their life that impacts them a lot, and they either speak for others and help people in similar situations. Also they can take with what happened to them and go out and try to stop it for others.
