Culinary Arts 1
You are the manager and are already short 1 dishwasher tonight. The other scheduled dishwasher calls in sick. It will be a busy Friday night, so how will you handle the situation?
I take matters in my own hands and decide to help out with dishes whenever I get the chance and tell the employees to help out as well, whatever dishes they dirty up to try and get them cleaned themselves when they have the spare time.
I would try and call in someone who was free to come in that night. But if I had no luck with that then I would try and help out with the dishes as much as I can.
I would tell all the employees to try their best to take care of their dirty dishes , and If I see that they are falling behind and all of the dishes are stacking up and no one is getting them clean, I think I would start washing the dishes myself. If none of the employees has time to wash dishes I would just be the dishwasher for the night.
I would try to call in someone who knows how to work it. If they cant then I would clean as I worked and hopefully not get backed up and behind in work.
call in somebody that knows how to do the dishes, maybe call in another manager to do them if nobody else comes in. if nobody comes in you would probably have to pull someone away from their normal station to help with the dishes
when you have a chance to do the dishes you should go and do it, or you could call in another worker. you should contact the dish washer who decided to show up at work late.
I would call someone in to see if they could come in and replace the sick dishwasher, and if I couldn't get anybody to come in I would just wash all of the dishes myself or I would ask other employees to help wash dishes.

ReplyDeleteIf there is any extra helpers id have them help and id also do the dishes when im not busy.

ReplyDeleteIf I was down a dish washer I would call other workers that wasn't on the schedule and I would help them that night or until someone else shows up.
