Culinary 2

What do you know about making bread? Have you ever done it from scratch before?  Write a few things you know about making bread and a few things you would like to learn.

  1. A lot goes into the bread making process, not necessarily ingredients but time and patience. The basic ingredients are water, flour, yeast, and salt. Yeast is the leavening agent which means it is the ingredient that makes the bread rise and fluffy. Yeast eats on the sugars and carbohydrates and releases carbon dioxide into dough, be sure to pop these bubbles or your finished product will have large air pockets in it.

  2. I know a few things about making bread. I love fresh homemade bread, but I have never made it from scratch before. I would like to learn how to make certain types of bread and the techniques on making bread properly.

  3. making bread consists of simple ingredients but takes patience to make. You have to do everything the exact way directions tell you to. You also have to wait for the dough to rest so that it cooks correctly. I have cooked bread from scratch before and I thought it was fairly easy. I would like to learn how to make seasoned breads and fresh rolls for sandwiches, I also think it would be cool to learn how to make pretzels.

  5. Making bread can sometimes involve several steps. Also bread is made by baking dough. I have never made bread from scratch. How many different types of bread are there. Do different regions of the world have different types of bread.

  6. I have never made bread from scratch before but I have made scones and biscuits before and those always seem to turn out pretty well. I think that making bread will be fun and easy.

  7. I have made the dough from scratch before at work. We usually use 1 cup of oil, 1 cup of salt, 3/4 cup sugar, yeast depends on the size dough we are going to cut, 2 1/2 pitchers of water, and a whole bag of flour. Then we cut it and scale it, roll it and spray it with water and put it in the cooler to proof. Other than making pizza, I would like to learn how to make different breads that are made around the world.

  8. I know some things about baking bread. I know that you use two types of flour for different colors. Most of the time it requires yeast for the dough to rise. the dough has to sit out for an amount of time so the yeast can activate. I haven't made bread from scratch before and would like to try it. I would like to learn what kinds of bread you make and the different processes.

  9. I have made biscuits from scratch before. It was fun but it takes patience and making sure you measure out the right ingredients. You also have to remember to not over work the dough. I would love to learn how to braid bread and make certain traditional breads from other countries.

  10. Well, with bread making I know that you must of a yeast, flour, and a liquid to bind the ingredients together and make them grow. The yeast feeds on the sugars in the flour and creates a carbon dioxide that causes it to expand in size. ---- Yes, I have made bread from scratch one time before with my grandmother, but I would still like to learn how to make different breads with things such as their fermenting time, their cook time, color, texture and specific special ingredients.

  11. I have never made bread before, but i know it consists of simple ingredients. i know you must have precise measurements, and have the bread rest for the correct amount of time. The main ingredients are flour, yeast, water, and salt. I've never made bread but i think i would enjoy it.

  12. Making bread is a time consuming job, alot of patient and skills can be required to make some breads. The actual ingredients that goes into bread are simple and are basic. Yeast is one ingredients that most bread have, this causes a chemical reaction that happens inside the cooking stage that causes bubbles to form and makes your bread raise. You can use bread for an wide range of things, anywhere from making sandwiches to deserts. I have never made bread from scratch but i would like to learn how to and the different type of breads and what are they best use for. I would also like to learn how to make some shaped breads and their origins.

  13. I have to be honest, I know very little about making bread. I never grew up around homemade breads and biscuits. For the most part the only thing I really know about making bread from scratch is that there is flower used. With that being said I would love to learn all there is to know about bread, all the ingredients, how long it has to sit there, what types there are and their differences. I would also love to learn about friendship bread.
