Culinary Arts 1
Some foods are better suited to certain cooking methods. Describe 3 cooking methods and list an example of a food that should be cooked using that method.
Sautéing used for meat strips, chicken, and fish. Roasting used mostly for large cuts of meat and whole birds. Simmering used for less tender cuts of meat.
Barding-Wrapping an item with strips of fat before cooking to baste the meat. Ex)Pork tenderloin. Broiling-Rapid cooking method that uses high heat from a source located above the food. Ex)Fish, Poultry, and some fruits and vegetables. Grilling-Food is cooked on a grill rack above the heat source. Ex)Steak, Chicken

deep frying is good for certain foods such as potato's. poaching is great for fish. And pan frying works great for fried chicken
