CA 1 Blog Post

You are a restaurant manager hiring new employees. What professional characteristics do you look for? Explain why.

  1. Good work ethic and great enthusiasm. Not lazy and work hard and have had some sort of culinary knowledge

  2. I would look for a respectful, hard working, smart, and clean person. If they have all of these thing they will be a good responsible person who can do his work.

  3. The person has to be enthusiastic. They have to work well and not be lazy. They need to know how to do their jobs right and not make mistakes on purpose.

  4. Not lazy, strives for excellence, Works hard, stays on task, knows what they are doing , because when you hire someone you want them to be able to do what you hired them for and so you would not have any issues with them not being able to do their work.

  5. Respectful and energetic. And someone who is a people person. Respectful because they have to be respectful to customers and other employees and energetic cause they don't need to be lazy.

    These traits would show me that this person knows what they're doing, and could be a valuable asset.

  9. If I was a manager looking for employs, I would be looking for someone who is careful with everything, wants their work to be perfect, also a quick worker.

  10. for them to have a good work ethic and have great enthusiasm. make sure they are hard workers and will give there best. make sure there respectful and also responsible. if they are capable of all of these there then there a very good candidate for the job

  11. Hardworking, respectful, willing to learn, non-smoking, and minimal piercings. A hardworking person in the kitchen is a good thing to have,respect from them should be initial, and a willing to learn is always admirable. The other two are just my preference.

  12. I would look for a kind person, someone that has a lot of people skills because that is very important in the restaurant business, and I would look for somebody who had a great personality.

  13. Make sure that they are attentive and are not lazy, hard worker, doesn't miss a lot of days, diligent worker, strives to work their hardest.

  15. The first thing I'd look for is maturity and good hygiene. They have to be mature enough to handle the tasks with seriousness. I would also look for cooking skills, people skills, and how fast they can work under pressure.
