Intro To Culinary

Blog Journal: Do you think soups are an important part of a restaurant's menu?  Why or why not?  What are your favorite types of soup?

  2. Yes I think soups are important because they can complement your main meal because in most cases the soup is served first. By doing this you can see if the restaurant has good quality. My favorite soup is potato soup.

  5. Yes, they are good to have as appetizers. They are also good to have as an option if somebody just wants to have a light meal. Chicken noodle soup is my favorite.

  6. yes, because they make a good semi light appetizer for a meal or they can also make just a good hardy meal depending on the type of soup. My favorites are probably homemade vegetable or potato soup.

  7. I believe that soups are a major part of a restaurant's menu. Most sick people like a nice, warm bowl of soup. Some other people like soup at all times of the year. My favorite soup would probably be chicken noodle soup.

  9. yes bc sometimes people don't want steak and potatoes, and all the other things that combine to make some huge meal. they just want a simple soup with a side item of bread or crackers or something.

  11. Yes I do because when its cold out side or if someone has had a cold they want something warm and tasty. Soup is the perfect item for that. Everyone likes soup so you need to have it on the menu for someone who is also not wanting something too heavy of a meal. My favorite type of soup is either salmon stew or new England clam chowder.

  13. Yes soups are very important to a restaurant's menu because you want to have something everyone can eat, and they can count as appetizers or small meals for customers who aren't very hungry. My favorites are broccoli and cheese, potato, and chicken noodle soup.

  15. I do think that soups are an important part of the restaurant cause they can be used for various reasons and they compliment various dishes. Also soups are usually not hard to make. MY favorite soup is Clam Chowder. (If that counts)
